Presentation of the OER World Map project at OpenEd14

Today Jan Neumann was lucky to do a presentation about OER-Mapping together with Tel Amiel at the OpenEd14 conference in Washington. Tel holds the Brazilian UNESCO OER chair and did some great work while working on the Mira project. We are very happy to announce that Tel agreed to become the first strategic partner of the OER World Map project, taking care of South America. It was Jan’s first presentation of the project after Hewlett’s decision to fund hbz. It was a lot of fun, though it is definitely not easy to present a project like the World Map within a few minutes. Feedback of the presentation was quite positive, but the talk was limited to 30 minutes which gave us little time to dive into the topic more deeply. Everyone interested can have a look at the slides here . The video seem not to be available (yet) but you can bridge the waiting time looking at the excellent keynotes by Larry Lessig , Heather Joseph and John Wilbanks .
